Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the chapel
miraculous image "Mother of Perpetual Help"

The icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help hangs in the back of the chapel. It is beautifully designed.

The miraculous image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a widely spread miraculous image and a world-famous depiction of the Virgin Mary. The original from the 14th century probably comes from the island of Crete . After changing locations, the image was entrusted to the Redemptorist Order by Pope Pius IX in 1867 for their Roman church of Sant' Alfonso , where it has adorned the high altar ever since. The feast is celebrated on June 27th. For example, the pilgrimage church of Maria Puchheim is dedicated to this feast.

The official daily prayer of the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help states:

Lord Jesus Christ, you gave your mother Mary to us as a mother, in whom we always find help. Let us persevere in asking for her motherly intercession and thus receive the fullness of your redemption. Amen
