The chapel's origins are closely linked to the fate of the Pöckl family. In 2001, Florian, the son of farmer Maria Pöckl, became seriously ill. The doctors gave him little chance of survival. In their despair and out of deep faith, Maria Pöckl and her eldest son Georg vowed to build a chapel if Florian recovered. Miraculously, Florian made a full recovery from his serious illness.

Maria Pöckl then began saving money to build the chapel. Despite great efforts and hard work, she was unable to realize her plan herself. Instead, her son Florian erected a small house altar with a beautiful Madonna in the stairwell of the house.

Later, Florian took over the property and fulfilled his mother's promise. For over three years, he planned the chapel down to the last detail – both the exterior and the interior – before construction finally began in March 2023. After nine months of intensive work, the chapel was completed in November 2023.

On April 13, 2024, parish administrator Mirko Ivkic from Zell am Moos solemnly consecrated the chapel in honor of Our Lady, “Mother of Perpetual Help”.

Maria Pöckl was the donor of the bell in the tower as well as the large Madonna at the front of the altar. She died on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.
